New York Magazine has named Glasgow’s King Tut's Wah Wah Hut as the seventh best way to 'Follow Your Bliss' in its Top 50 places to visit in the world this year.
In the Bliss List New Yorkers are urged to go to King Tut’s and: “dance to the next big post-punk band and discover the new Franz Ferdinand (or Dogs Die in Hot Cars, or Snow Patrol, or Sons and Daughters).”
As well as the accolade from the hip US publication, King Tut's has also notched up a number of other awards over its fifteen year history.
These include being named the 'UK's best live venue' by listeners of Radio 1 three years in a row; winning the Radio Clyde Award for Best Venue in 2005 and earning 4th place in Rocksound Magazine's Best Live Venue category - an incredible feat given that all the other highlighted venues had capacities of over 2000 compared to King Tut's 300.
