Less is More as Glasgow’s Convention Bureau Launches New ‘Mini’ Meetings Guide and CD-Rom at IMEX
The Convention Bureau of the new Glasgow City Marketing Bureau will launch its innovative marketing tool at IMEX this week.
The mini meetings guide has been produced in a user-friendly, ‘compact’ format and - together with the accompanying CD-Rom - will be an invaluable reference tool for conference, events and exhibition organisers.
The guide provides concise information on Glasgow’s meetings infrastructure as well as details of the extensive support available from the Convention Bureau and an introduction to the cohesive partnership, which exists within the city.
The CD contains an in-depth guide to the city’s facilities including comprehensive details on access, accommodation, venues and civic support plus a full listing of conference support services.
Reinforcing the city’s credentials as Glasgow: Scotland with style, it also features articles from prominent Glaswegians – hoteliers, restaurateurs, fashion experts, musicians and entrepreneurs who each give a fascinating insider’s take on the creative pulse and personality of Scotland’s largest city.
Molly Doheny, Head of Convention Bureau at Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, said:
“We have succeeded in packing a lot of vital, practical information into our mini meetings guide!
“Its innovative, compact format - combined with the accompanying CD - should prove to be extremely popular with our clients and serve as an invaluable reference tool for anyone planning a meeting in the area.”
Glasgow City Marketing bureau is currently progressing conventions bids worth £110 million and has £115 million of confirmed conferences on its forward booking system until 2010.
