The Convention Bureau is the first point of contact in the city for conference organisers, providing a one stop shop service to access all the facilities and services provided in the area. You can directly benefit from this relationship by becoming a member of the Convention Bureau.
The Convention Bureau proactively secures international and national association conferences and related exhibitions, as well as corporate and incentive meetings. In 2005 the Convention Bureau secured £61m in conferences sales benefiting a wide range of businesses in the Glasgow area, from hotels and venues to restaurants and shops. Our highly successful Ambassador Programme is a free service to assist academics, medics and scientists in the process of bidding and winning a conference, and has in excess of 2,000 Ambassadors in the Programme.
Organisers are assisted by the conference accommodation booking service which includes holding room allocations across the region to meet the requirements of congresses and smaller meetings alike.
